I love how these looks. They are beautiful.I would have given this a five star, except the slate tags are tricky to put on without fear of cracking. The slates do not go on easily due to the curve in the metal post. You have to apply pressure. Be careful you don’t crack it. Another feature I would have liked to see is a post that doesn’t turn in the dirt as easily. Maybe a fork type at the end would prevent spinning.These garden markers are the classiest ones that I've ever seen. Sure, they are more expensive than a pop sickle stick type marker, but then most people know that you get what you pay for. My only complaint, and the reason for only 4 stars, is that no one at the manufacturer's end thought to provide any instructions of how to attach the slate to the rod. The normal inclination would be to hold the rod upright and slide the slate unto the curved part of the rod. As one customer commented, this doesn't work. The company's comment to this comment was to slide the slate from the bottom of the rod around to the top. And voila! This works! But why were there no instructions? I guess that the one customer who commented about the attachment and I were the only ones who didn't understand how to attach the slate to the rod. How dumb of us.I love that these are actually larger than they appeared in the photo. The slate signs are thicker than expected, so seem like they will weather well. (Full disclosure, they arrived yesterday!). The stakes are very strong. My only comment would be that if they were "pronged"at the bottom, it would stop them from "swiveling" with the weight of the slate sign. The sign is so solid and heavy, I had to push it down farther than I wanted to for visibility. All in all, I really like them and will likely be ordering a few more for myself and as gifts for my gardening friends!These are adorable! I’ve been looking for over a year for markers for my herbs and these are by far the best I’ve found. The chalk included works great for writing. Very happy with these! Make sure to attach slate plates by going up through straight part of stand first! I read reviews about this and it works like a charm. Excellent quality!I have purchased “other” slate plant markers. These ones arrived with two chalk markers and are very well packaged. They are the perfect size for my herb and perennial garden. BTW run the metal part through the hole in the slate from the very bottom of the stand (on the straight part). I bought one set and liked it so MUCH have purchased a second set.These are great slate labels. The chalk stays on even after rain, but you can clean it off and use the slate again for another plant. The metal hanger is sturdy and tall. These are the most attractive plant labels that I have been able to find. I have ordered these several times and delivery is always on time and the items are always in good shape.They've held up super well, sturdy design that's held up well against some strong winds. The signs also look great in their garden. Erase relatively easily as well (they've changed out their vegetables they're growing several times! So the signs have needed some updating). Overall, great value for what you get!I initially was drawn to these slate hanging stakes due to having a Labrador who likes nothing more than pinching the Veg stakes. I’ve found so many chewed up on the lawn. I saw these and thought they looked perfect.I am so pleased with them, they look so good in my veg beds and they come with Good quality chalk. They are a real feature and can be added to any pot or flower, veg bed. My Lab has not gone near them ? Yes they are pricey but you get the slates, the stainless steel stakes and the chalk pencils and you do get ten. These can be used over and over again. Worth it in my opinion ?Is really good quality ..that is saying something as I'm quite fussy.
